Cat Sitting FAQ

Are You Insured and Bonded?

We maintain comprehensive general liability insurance coverage for your home and pets to ensure your complete peace of mind.

Can I trust you in my home?

Rest assured, our pet sitters undergo a rigorous background check before they are granted access to your home. We take your security seriously, so we are fully bonded and insured.

Do You Have References?

Our reviews speak for themselves. Please read them to help you make an informed decision about hiring us. If you are still uncertain, we would be glad to connect you with some of our satisfied clients who can vouch for our services.

How Will I Know That You Visited My Cat?

You will receive a text and email notification when we arrive, and then at the end of our visit, pictures, a note, and a report card. If you have questions for us, you can communicate with the office and your cat sitter using our pet sitting app. We make it easy!

Can I Meet My Cat Sitter Before Services Start?

The initial meet-and-greet with the Leadership Team is FREE. We will confirm and review the pertinent information about your home and pet care routine (e.g., feeding instructions, medications, special requests, etc.) and answer all of your questions.

We are happy to schedule additional visits for you to meet your sitter or dog walker for $15. The sitter receives 100% of this fee.

If your pet is shy or has stranger danger fears, we can arrange for more than one meeting to ensure everyone is well acquainted and comfortable with each other.

Will I have the same cat sitter at every visit?

We carefully match you with a primary cat sitter based on your cat’s unique needs and personality. At times, we may utilize other sitters to ensure continuous care.

Can I choose what time the sitter arrives?

Yes!

Our Visit Timeframes:
Early Morning 7am – 9am
Morning visits 9am – 11am
Mid day visits 11am – 2pm

Afternoon visits 2pm – 4pm
Evening visits 4pm – 7pm

Need a smaller timeframe? We will do our best to accommodate your request for a smaller timeframe (within the hour).

Need a specific arrival time? Not a problem! We will be there within a 15-minute timeframe for an additional $5 per visit

What if my cat hides during the visit?

Some cats are shy, and that’s ok. If they prefer to hide while we are there, your cat sitter will sit quietly. Sometimes that all it takes.. Our cat sitters make every effort to put eyes on your cats during each visit to ensure their safety.

If we are unable to locate your cat, we can verify their condition by checking the litter box and notating the volume of food and water being consumed.

Why do you require once a day cat visits?

We are a licensed and insured pet sitting company, and our insurance requires a visit at least once every 24 hours. This policy is in place to ensure that your cat receives the best care possible.

Clients sometimes ask us to visit their cats every few days, saying their cats are independent and don’t need daily visits. They suggest leaving out extra supplies or using an automatic feeder. However, we decline these requests, and here’s why:

  • Kittens – need I say more? On a second visit, only one of two kittens wasn’t there to greet us. The sitter could hear the other kitten crying, so knew she was in trouble. She had somehow trapped herself inside a duvet cover. This could have been a real tragedy if we weren’t visiting every day.
  • A cat entered the bedroom and closed the door on himself and his brother. Both cats were trapped without food, water, or a litter box.
  • You might think cat fountains are safe, but that’s not always the case. We arrived at the first visit and heard a grinding motor sound coming from the fountain. Upon inspection, we discovered that the fountain had run dry and the motor had overheated. If we hadn’t been there to address the issue, it could have caused a fire.
  • The batteries died on a client’s automatic feeder. No food for you until your kitty sitter arrives.
  • A client left for vacation, and the cat had somehow snuck out of the house. We found a very cold and hungry cat on the porch on our first visit.
